Executive Chef Charles Weems
Given the opportunity to open a new restaurant, Chef Charles is delighted to be on Harkers Island at the Fish Hook Grill.
He brings over twenty years of culinary expertise to the island. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, he began his career at the five star Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama.
Stops along the journey to Harkers Island have included four years as Executive Chef at the Hilton Hotel in Durham, NC. And, most recently at Grasyon's Cafe at the Museum of Life & Science. There he reinvented the menu to bring hot wraps, fresh sandwiches, and gourmet salads to the members and patrons of the museum along with catering wedding receptions and special events.

The Rest of the Team
Chef Rick joins Chef Charles on Harkers Island as his General Manager of more than five years. He brings over twenty years of culinary experience to Fish Hook Grill and has been key to the menu creation and execution for all of that time.
Chef Rick has delivered all of the catering needs for special events and drives the day to day delivery of all of their ventures together. Prior to Charles' and Rick's partnership Rick owned and operated a restaurant with his dad in Eureka California.
Originating from California, Chef Rick, brings the fresh innovative culinary flair of the southwest to introduce you to a fresh new dining experience. Think jalapenos and cheese please.
If you want it hot, just ask the Chef. He'll make it as hot as you can stand it.
Lisa Matthews brings over twenty years of service in the hospitality and meeting/event planning industry to Fish Hook Grill. A graduate of the Certified Corporate Travel Executive program through Cornell University Lisa has planned corporate and social events across the globe. She is thrilled to have the opportunity help you plan and The Grill deliver extraordinary catering and services for your special event.
